Eurostat publish a regular series called "Stat of the Week" on the Eurostat website; Futureskills Scotland publish those definitions which relate to the labour market. Labour productivity per person employed is an alternative measure of productivity used for economic activities. It is calculated by taking gross value added and dividing by the total number of persons employed. The indicator provides confirmation of the most labour intensive areas of the European Union economy, as well as an insight into the rapid productivity growth of particular economic activities. For more information visit the Eurostat Stat of the Week page.
